June Circle

Join Restorative Houston for a community circle focused on stress management, grounding, and nervous system care. Together, we’ll explore supportive practices that may help us slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and release stress in gentle and accessible ways. This month’s circle will include guided experiences with: ✨ EFT tapping ✨ Yoga nidra (guided yogic rest/meditation) ✨ Reflection and journaling ✨ Community dialogue and connection

July Circle

For many people, this holiday brings complicated feelings. We are often told that freedom means independence, self-sufficiency, and individual success. But many of us are exhausted by the pressure to survive alone in systems that isolate us from one another. So instead of celebrating independence, we want to explore interdependence—the idea that our lives are deeply connected, and that real freedom may actually require community, care, and collective responsibility. This circle is not about pretending everything is okay. It’s about honestly reflecting on the systems that disconnect us from our humanity while also imagining what becomes possible when we choose connection over isolation, care over domination, and community over hyper-individualism.

Collective Future Practice Space

Collectives help us share the responsibility of caring for ourselves and our communities to build a new world. But our experiences in collectives might be impacted by how others choose to show up, making collective work a challenge for many of us.

Come to our headquarters and join Katya Abazaijan, Creator & Lead Educator at People’s Data Project, in partnership with Paraspace Books to explore practices and dynamics that shape our experiences in collectives! This space is for organizers, artists, creators, neighbors, or co-living friends who want to reflect on the interpersonal dynamics of living or working in a collective while upholding your values toward liberation.

Attend the workshop at 2pm and stay until 5pm for a pop-up with Paraspace Books and a social with light bites.Together, we'll be introducing the Free Futurist Library, a summer-long roaming library where visitors can browse, annotate, and contribute to texts that help us chart toward a collective, liberatory future.

This project is funded in part by the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance.

The Spiral of Youth Engagement in Restorative Practices

For educators only: We’ll dig into what authentic youth partnership looks like in schools—through movement, reflection, and dialogue—so young people most impacted by disciplinary disproportionalities can shape the practices meant for them.
